Football games & Omaha weather

GO Badgers! (that's Bennington Badgers) Friday night we decided to go to the football game at Bennington High even though it was a balmy 50 degrees! It was badger blue day at the elementary, which spurred Emma to actually WANT to go the game. She came home and said "Nick is cheering for the Yankees tonight, what are WE doing that's fun?" (Not sure who Nick is, Jared and I think Emma may have a little crush!) Some friends went with us and we had a blast and stayed for the whole game.
Maeley was soo funny, she has issues thinking there are monkeys in our house. So at the game she saw the mascot all dressed up in the badger costume and freaked out. She came saying monky scary monkey. We told her it was a funny badger. All she would say the rest of the night was "funny badga uh badga!" and laugh, then squeeze my neck still sacared to death.
The typical Omaha weather has definitely made its presence. Last week it was in the 50's to 65 as the high. We were pulling out the sweaters and gloves and now this week its back in shorts with the A/C on!

Emmas First Day of Kindergarten (a week late)

Emma started kindergarten Aug. 23rd and loves it! Bennington Elementary (as well as all the other Omaha Schools) have all day kindergarten. She had a little hard time at first at lunch time. She doesnt like eating by herself (which means no teacher). She's like her Dad, teachers pet! :) I dont think when Jared started kindergarten he would've thought he would STILL be in school 25 years later! Maeley is adjusting okay too. She always asks "Emma, where Emma, I uh play!" She even will get her backpack on and "frip-frops" on & say "bye Mom, uh Emma, yove you, EE yah" and go in my closet.
Maeley and I went to eat lunch with Emma last Wednesday and then out to recess to play. Maeley thought she was one of the kindergarteners.
